(Indianapolis, Ind.) Bradley Company announced today that it is establishing its principal office in Indianapolis, boosting the state’s largest independently owned full-service commercial real estate firm’s presence in the Circle City.
Bradley also announced that Chad Phillips is Bradley’s new President and CEO. He will succeed Brad Toothaker, who will turn his focus to strategic growth initiatives for the company.
Founded in 1978, Bradley Company has seven offices in Indiana and Michigan. Establishing its principal office in Indianapolis is the natural progression in the company’s evolution and growth. In 2020, Bradley acquired Indianapolis-based RESOURCE Commercial Real Estate, absorbing more than 40 real estate professionals to the Bradley team.
“In recent years, Bradley has seen dramatic growth in the central Indiana market. Winning business and establishing our principal office here allows us more opportunities to expand beyond Indianapolis,” said Brad Toothaker. “A strong, visible presence in a bigger regional market is the next step in the growth and progression of our company. We have a talented team with deep knowledge of this market already in place, and Chad Phillips is the right person to lead this effort.”
Chad Phillips, Bradley’s new President and CEO, takes the helm of the company after spending a year as the President of Growth and Development. He has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and held leadership roles at CBRE and Simon Property Group during his career.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to lead Bradley’s talented team of professionals, while continuing to offer our clients the personalized services they have come to know and expect,” said Chad Phillips. “I also look forward to charting Bradley’s course for the coming years, developing strategic priorities that grow and further diversify our business. I’m thankful for Brad’s trust in me to lead Bradley into the future.”
Members of Bradley’s executive team will be housed at its new offices on Indianapolis’ north side. Joining Phillips will be: Kim Collins, interim COO and executive managing director of commercial asset services; Sandy Hege, senior managing director, finance & information systems; and Heather Turner, executive managing director, multi-housing.
Entering new markets is a touchstone of Bradley’s growth strategy. In addition to the RESOURCE acquisition in 2020, Bradley acquired XVentures in Grand Rapids in 2018, opening up the west Michigan market.
“We believe an Indianapolis home base gives us the flexibility to identify and access new markets where Bradley’s services strategically are a good fit and enable us to recruit from a larger talent pool,” Phillips continued. “Our team is looking forward to the opportunities ahead.”
