Aldi has commenced the renovation and expansion of their store that will encompass the entire 22,000 square foot building. Located at the southwest quadrant of U.S. Route 30 and N. Line Street, Columbia City, Aldi has been a fixture in the Plaza since 1984.
The international grocer has committed to a new 15-year lease, a doubling of their store size, and a significant investment in both their premises and Columbia City. Columbia Plaza, operating under new ownership, an entity of The Philipsborn Company, worked in conjunction with Mayor Ryan Daniel and Chip Hill of the City of Columbia City, to make this significant development a reality. The totally new store will re-open this Fall, 2021.
Columbia Plaza is simultaneously renovating 11,000 square feet of available space situated between the new Aldi grocery store and the adjoining Walgreens store.
